Overview

McGraths Blackpool is conveniently located just north of Blackpool town centre on Lord Street. It's a 4-minute walk to the Promenade, 6 minutes to the North Pier, and a 10-minute walk from the town centre. 

Being an old building, McGraths Blackpool retains period features, and while we strive to accommodate all our guests, some of these features may pose accessibility challenges for individuals with limited mobility. 

With rooms situated on different levels, there are steps both into the building and between floor levels. Regrettably, we do not have any ground floor bedrooms, making McGraths Blackpool unsuitable for wheelchair users.

Pre-Arrival

• Our highly trained staff can assist with any special requirements prior to your arrival, including essential equipment, travel arrangements, or detailed information. Please contact us by phone or email.
  
• Our car park is located within 10 meters of the hotel reception and is accessed via a flat walkway with no steps. Additionally, there is a drop-off point immediately outside the hotel, with only one step from the road to the pavement.
  
• Blackpool North railway station is situated 0.2 miles from McGraths Blackpool. Taxis are readily available outside the main entrance to the train station.
  
• Large print information is available upon request.

Arrival

• There is one step from the pavement to the guesthouse frontage.
• There are two steps from the frontage to the front door of our property.
• You may park on the double yellows at the front of the guest house for up to 3 hours with the appropriate badges on display.
• We have a door entry buzzer system at the main entrance, which allows our staff to assist you upon arrival if required.

Bar & Dining Area

• Situated on the ground floor, our bar is fully licensed and open to both residents and non-residents.
• We have standard size doorways in our bar and dining area.
• A complimentary breakfast is included for all guests, with special dietary requirements catered for with prior notice.
• We can also provide early breakfast access for individuals with sensory needs who require a quieter environment; simply inform us prior to arrival.
• We do not serve evening meals.

Bedrooms

• Our bedrooms are set up as either Double, King, Single, or Twin rooms. If you would like specific details about our rooms, please don't hesitate to contact us.
• There are 17 carpeted steps leading to bedrooms located on the first floor (The Harrogate, The 1912, & The Gatsby).
• An additional 16 carpeted steps lead to rooms on the second floor (The Trinket, La Mer, The Palm Springs, and The Shaftesbury).
• A handrail is provided on the stairs for your convenience.
• Please note, there is no lift available.
• All bedrooms have standard doorways.
• Beds are accessible from both sides.
• Each room is equipped with a fridge for storing medication, if needed.

Bathrooms

• All our rooms feature ensuite bathrooms equipped with a shower, toilet, and sink.
• All our en-suites have lever taps to the basin.
• All rooms feature en-suite showers. There is a small step to enter the shower, and the height of this step will vary in each room.
• Baths are not available in any of our rooms.
• Hot water is thermostatically controlled in all of our en-suites.

• Assistance dogs are welcome, free of charge.
• Fire extinguishers are situated in the main hallway and on each half landing.
• Fire call points are located in the main hallway on each landing.
• In the event of a fire alarm (a continuous siren), guests will be instructed to vacate the building via the main entrance.
• Guests are kindly asked to inform us of any hearing impediments so that we can provide appropriate assistance during emergency evacuations.
• A selection of local information is available in our main hallway.
• Please note, we do not offer a laundry service. However, there is a small launderette on Dixon Road, approximately a 5-minute walk from McGraths Blackpool.
• Should you require assistance during your stay please contact us and our Team Members will be happy to do all that they can to assist. Please note, however, that we cannot offer personal care.
